Mark Trowbridge, CPSM, C.P.M., MCIPS


One of the original founders, his 30+ years of procurement experience included corporate management in the Manufacturing, Airline, and Banking sectors; culminating with a leadership role directing all of Bank of America's contracting management and 75% of sourcing activities.  During his last two years with Bank of America, Mr. Trowbridge's team delivered a Quarter Billion Dollars in savings.


Over the last two decades, Mark has helped to lead many of Strategic Procurement Solutions' client projects, working with companies and governmental customers like Apple, Intel, Kraft Foods, Johnson & Johnson, AXA-Equitable, Canadian Government, Nationwide, MetLife, LG Electronics, BP, Blue Shield Association, State of Oregon, State of Massachusetts, Allstate, General Mills, Coca-Cola, Colgate-Palmolive, State of Maine, Koch Industries, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAA, Capital One, Dupont, etc.  Many of these projects have been credited with contributing Hundreds of Millions of Dollars in value to our clients.


Mr. Trowbridge has been a keynote presenter for corporate procurement groups and spoken at conferences throughout North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.  His writings have been featured in many publications, including Inside Supply Management Magazine, Supply Chain Management Review Journal, eSide Supply Management, etc.  Mr. Trowbridge has been interviewed by many periodicals, including the Wall Street Journal.

Robert Dunn, MBA, C.P.M. (Co-Founder)


Recently entering semi-retirement, Bob Dunn was one of the original founders of Strategic Procurement Solutions.  His 40 years of supply management experience included procurement roles in Manufacturing, Industrial Distribution, Government, and Financial Services (eventually culminating his corporate career pathway leading BankAmerica Corporation's technology and non-technology procurement operations.  


Bob's career path continued in the consulting sector leading an advisory group for Walker Interactive ERP and then global SCM consulting practices for Proudfoot Consulting, before joining forces with Mark Trowbridge to form Strategic Procurement Solutions.


Robert also taught supply chain classes at the graduate and post-graduate levels for St. Mary's College and Cal State Hayward University for several decades.


Throughout his career, Bob Dunn was reknown for being an outstanding communicator and instructor.  During an era when his teaching circles overlapped with that of Chester Karrass (founder of Karrass Negotiating Seminars), Bob spoke before countless numbers of conference audiences and corporate seminar audiences.  


Bob was president of two NAPM/ISM chapters for more than a decade.  He served as chairman of the CAPS finance benchmark committee, and wrote many of the questions found in the C.P.M. examinations.


Robert Dunn now enjoys fly fishing and horseback riding with his wife Tammy in the Eastern Sierras of California.  Occasionally though, we do bring Robert back to write content for Strategic Procurement Solutions' bi-monthly Best Practices in Supply Management Journal
